Henna Aftercare

100% organic henna aftercare

Henna will take 10–20 minutes to become touch dry. Avoid smudging during this time.
Leave the paste on for at least 3–6 hours or longer for the darkest stain. Avoid touching or scraping.

You can apply a lemon sugar mix to keep the paste moist and improve colour.
Avoid water for the first 24 hours (including showers and swimming).

Once dry, gently scrape off the paste using a tissue or your fingers.
Do not wash with water.

The stain will appear bright orange at first and darken to brown over 24–48 hours.
Apply natural oils (such as coconut or olive oil) to keep the design moisturised and lasting longer.

Repeat daily, especially before contact with water.

Avoid exfoliation and chemical-based products (lotions, perfumes) on the area.

With proper care, henna lasts 1–3 weeks.
Colour results vary depending on skin type.

Pregnancy & Henna

Natural henna can be used during pregnancy, but it’s important to be mindful of the ingredients used in the mix. Some essential oils, such as eucalyptus, are commonly added to enhance stain and flow, but may not be suitable during pregnancy. For this reason, gentler mixes using alternatives like lavender oil are often preferred. If unsure, always check the ingredients or seek advice before use.
